   Yeah, I know of #mastodon. But, considering that I already have "normal GNU Social" running, I am not very motivated to switch. However, if mastodon gets an easier installation process (without docker), I will consider. Meanwhile, do you know of #hubzilla? It doesn't look too pretty, at the moment, but I feel it is a more robust system than GNU Social, Mastodon, or Diaspora.

     Is that possible without #npm? Even the build instructions at https://github.com/ssbc/patchwork/blob/master/docs/BUILDING.md use npm.

     @arunisaac You have to manually download the npm packages and put it inside node_modules directory. In short you should do what npm does then.

     npm are inevitable when using nodejs.

     I tried #hubzilla for a while, but gave up. I don't think I have the mental bandwidth to maintain two social networking accounts.

     Yes, I've heard this being mentioned many times. Which is why I decided to try Hubzilla. But somehow, I couldn't quite figure out how it (the Zot protocol) worked. Is this similar to IPFS or zeronet?
