Thank you. I do not run that version of php, I run a older one. I suspect the issues I had with the switch to nightly was caused by mysql. But still - good info to have. So thank you!
Hi, the previous owner of the domain let go of it.
Then I bought it, and wanted to keep it running. They did not want me to have a backup of the previous site, so I had to start with a fresh installation.
I'm excited to see gsno runnig full steam under nightly eventually. Right now my social media presence is on other sites. I have been on a pleroma site that abruptly and without prior notice shut down, so I'm still on my fallback account on mastodon. As both pleroma and mastodon refuse to federate with gnusocial (drop of Ostatus support) and gnusocal usually doesn't provide an option to subscribe to folks on mastodon or pleroma, the prospect of a gnusocal instance that eventually federates with all three is lovely. Should it run properly I think I'll move all my presences to this node.

Another odd thing, just to let you know:
Usually the classical interface of GSno works across browsers. But when I select the Qvitter interface it is only displayed and works in Firefox. In browsers based on Chromium (Google Chrome, Slimjet, MS Edge) I get the error message:
Not Found
The requested URL was not found on this server.
Apache/2.4.29 (Ubuntu) Server at gnusocial.no Port 80
Switching Qvitter in FF again to classical interface, then using "gnusocial.no" in the Chromium based browsers' address bar forwards to "https://gnusocial.no/main/all" with the "Whole Network" TL being empty. (In FF/classical interface the "Whole Network" is empty too, but not so in Qvitter).
That is:
1) Qvitter can only be used only in FF
2) If Qvitter is selected, GSno cannot be accessed in other browsers
3) One first has to switch back to classical interface in FF to be able to access GSno at all in other browsers.
4) In the classical interface the Whole Network isn't displayed.
