Ask HN: Is HN GDPR compliant?

After reading this post https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=16954306 I thought about the small sites I like to visit. Things that started out like hobby projects such as Lobsters and HNews. I wonder, is HNews GDPR compliant? It doesn't really seem to be. Some topics mentioned in articles about GDPR:

• Ability to export data - Ability to delete your account - Disclose tracking (the voting ring detection must do some sort of tracking)

The discussion happening around #GDPR at https://discourse.gohugo.io/t/hugo-vs-the-general-data-protection-regulations-gdpr-in-eu-eea/11526?u=maiki makes me glad I don't embed stuff in my content. I am not sure how others get over the inertia of adding tracking, I can't get past that part.

We got an email that #Flickr was acquired by #SmugMug.

I closed my account after Yahoo purchased it, in 2005. Why am I getting email about this? Also, why didn't I get an email about Flickr going to Verizon!?

This is a reason the #GDPR was created.

I don't intend to ask this to anyone with their lawyer hat on, but for us hippy webcrafters out here, let's discuss: what's up with #GDPR and IP addresses?

If I rotate my logs each night and anonymonize them elsewhere (this is what I do with Piwik, or whatever it is called now), I think all I gotta do is say that in the privacy statement and be done, ne?

This is for my static site, so really that is all I know about them, and I never directly correlate a user. Thoughts?! ^_^
