      Neues Projekt: pySensorML

      pySensorML ist eine kleine Python-Bibliothek, mit der man einfacher SensorML-Beschreibungen erstellen kann. Man macht einfach nur Instanzen der jeweiligen SensorML-Elemente, verkettet diese so, wie es notwendig ist, sagt dann einfach WurzelElement.ToSensorML() und bekommt eine XML-Baumstruktur zurückgeliefert, die dann nur noch mittels etree.tostring in XML umgewandelt werden muss.

      Die einzige Abhängigkeit der Bibliothek: Die libxml2-Anbindung von Python (bei Debian GNU/Linux: python-lxml).

      KiCad – Ich bin begeistert!


      Habe mal das freie Programm KiCad, das zum Erstellen von Schaltplänen und Platinenlayouts anhand von Schaltplänen gedacht ist, ausprobiert.

      Nachdem ich vo ein paar Jahren im Studium Kontakt mit EAGLE hatte (einem anderen Programm für solche Aufgaben), muss ich sagen, dass KiCad für mich fast wie EAGLE zu bedienen ist. Auch wenn ich kein Gerät zum Fräsen oder Ätzen von Platinen habe, kann ich mit dem Platinenlayout-Teilprogramm von KiCad immerhin herausfinden, wie ich meine Bauteile auf den selbst gelöteten Platinen möglichst platzsparend unterbringen kann.


      Also zusammengefasst: KiCad macht einen sehr guten ersten Eindruck. Und wer sich die Bilder von KiCad auf der Webseite anschaut, wird sicherlich auch begeistert sein (ich sag nur 3D-Ansicht der Platine!).

      Moeripper 0.1 released (beta status)


      I wrote a manpage for moeripper which marks the start of the documentation process for moeripper. Because now the documentation has started and most major bugs should be out of the way I think it is time to start with versioning moeripper and to give it the beta software status.


      Next steps in development will include re-implementing the moeripper.rb script in python (for python learning purposes and more structured programming) and maintaining the working ruby script. Furthermore the documentation will be extended and a wizard to create your own profiles will be implemented. That may include offline XHTML+JavaScript pages where you can create/edit the video profile file or moeripper job files in your browser.
