#TIL about a great #Unix tool called #entr.

entr runs arbitrary commands when files change. For example:

@MutoShack @catonano No. #UNIX is a software, originally developed by AT&T. When somebody says that something is *based* on a software, it basically means the said software's source code was used as the starting point, then edited. This is not the case for UNIX and any modern FLOSS OS/distribution (for e.g. HP-UX, maybe is): these are simply UNIX-compatible to some extent (#POSIX-compliant).

@MutoShack *BSD aren't based on #UNIX either. MacOS… not sure, probably also not (see #Darwin).
Basically, you can only find something "based on UNIX" in an isolated obsolete industrial or hobbyist setup…

P.S. The tests authors are usually stupid dorks, that's understood.
